On 08.04.2026, together with Mateo Gavilanes, we set off for a tournament, this time to Poland, where we were invited to the 37th edition of the TFL tournament, which was to take place in Lublin.
This tournament was very important for us because it was the first fight of our club member, who was to perform under pro-am rules in the K1 formula.
Mateo’s opponent was to be Piotr Sędzin, representing the KIMBO Biłgoraj club.
09.04.2026 we spent resting and visiting the beautiful city of Lublin.
10.04.2026 the weigh-in of the competitors took place in the KAZIK student club.
During the weigh-in there was a very good atmosphere and Mateo as well as his opponent fit into their weight category up to 75 kg. After the weigh-in we went for dinner to the student canteen where Mateo made up for his unnecessary kilograms that he had to lose for this fight.
In the later night hours we were joined by another Arcadian Jakub Nowakowski .
11,04,2026 . Around 19:00 the TFL 37 tournament started, this tournament was played on two fighting planes . Fights in boxing formula k.k1 took place in the rings and MMA fights took place in the octagon,
Mateo’s fight started at around 23:00.
The first round did not go as our fighter would have wished, where he was caught by surprise in the first seconds receiving a circular hand strike, after which he was counted out and continued the fight.
The second round was also dictated by our opponent, where he surpassed our fighter with the number of leg techniques.
In the third round Mateo tried to tip the score of the fight in his favor but unfortunately it was not enough to win this duel and this duel was deservedly won by Piotr Sędzin. It was Mateo’s debut in a semi-professional ring, it is another step in his fighting career where he gathered valuable experience which hopefully will bear fruit in subsequent starts,
